Plastic Free or not?

Thank you to our customers who have asked us about being plastic free. Currently we use a mix of plastic and cardboard packaging to sell our fruit and vegetables in. We have experimented with a few different ways of packaging vegetables, including paper bags for leaf vegetables. Unfortunately these do not keep the vegetables fresh enough for very long. We have also tried degradable plastic bags. We have decided at the moment to use recycled plastic bags and ask customers to return them to us so we can keep reusing them. We use a mix of plastic and cardboard punnets. The cardboard punnets are made from recycled cardboard but tend to be only single use. We thank every who has donated and returned plastic punnets to us. This means we are able to keep reusing these and therefore massively reduce our environmental impact.
