Great first season

We have had a great first season here at Stonelands and thank everyone for their support! We have managed to grow and sell a good load of fruit and veg and are getting ready to plant more soft fruit bushes ready for next season.

This year we sold an amazing 536 punnets of Strawberries over the course of the year, and that doesn't include all the strawberries that were eaten during pickings! We also got an amazing 291 courgettes off of only six plants!

We have already had the privilege of working a good number of young people. We now have a group from the college who visit us every Wednesday and help out on the land and learn new skills. We are able to get alongside them and chat to them and have had great fun getting to know them!

We also have a young lad who is doing a traineeship with us. He works with us for four mornings a week and also does a day a week at the college. We have loved working with him and getting to know him and he has been a really hard working helper on the land.

We are now busy on maintenance jobs and preparing the land for next season. We hope to have an even better year next year and look forward to working with more young people.
